Every single day brings a new shock

Looking back on the PAST FIVE YEARS
my brother has
officially been:
1. HOMELESS six times.
2. HUD (subsidized) housing - once for 5 months, 2013.
3. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:

Osawatomie State Hospital in Kansas – 2 months, 2013.
* A
Residential Care Facility (nursing home in KS) – 2 months, 2013.
* Wagoner
Community Hospital (Okla.) – 8 weeks over the holidays.
3. MHAOK (subsidized mental housing) – one month in 2014.
4. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:
* Tulsa
Behavioral Health Center (TCBH) – one month, 2014.
* Carl
Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) – 2 months, 2014.
* Family
& Children’s Services Crisis Care Center (FCS CCC) – 2 months, 2014.
* TCBH
again – 2 weeks, 2014.
5. Family paid for extended stay hotel so he wouldn’t be homeless, 2014.

6. MHAOK housing again – 9 months into 2015.

elderly mother’s home in freezing weather, middle of the night, and of course
she wouldn’t turn him away, although the meds(*) have made him have fixed
delusions, and he thinks he OWNS her home, and that sometimes she is an
imposter. (*per Genesight.com DNA swab proving medication allergies/intolerance/contra-indication/unable to metabolize)
8. Residential Care
Facility (nursing home in McAlester) – one week, 2015. Age 46.

* Laureate (Tulsa). Private hospital. Only psych beds avail. – One month, 2015.

card, or not admitted)
12. Back to elderly mom’s house….can be very scary. Hard truths. – two months, 2015.
13. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:
* Ardmore
Crisis Stabilization Unit – two weeks, 2015.

Transferred to Griffin Memorial Psychiatric Hospital, Norman, OK 2 ½ mos, 2015.

tells Griffin Social Worker Jeff’s getting WORSE and WORSE on “meds.”

discharged Jeff with a 2 week-long-lasting medication(*) injection Dec 2, 2015

gave Jeff a BUS TICKET TO HOMELESSNESS IN TULSA from Norman.

mailed a winter coat, and a family friend delivered it to Griffin.
* Two days
later, COPES (Crisis Intervention in Tulsa) had to be called – DELUSIONS
14. MHAOK housing again – THANK GOD for housing. FREEZING WINTER!

again –One month/inpatient on 47th birthday 2016 …MHAOK rent paid by mom.

16. Back to his apartment living for three weeks… (mom is his SS rep payee)
17. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:

one week, May 2016. …MHAOK rent paid by mom.
18. Back to his apartment living for three weeks… (mom
handles his bills)
19. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:

helps all the time)
21. ARREST DAY July 26, 2016 – SO DELUSIONAL due to ALL THE
FORCED PSYCHIATRIC DRUGGING(*)

22. DLMCJC Tulsa County Jail – 111 days Jeff held in
solitary/segregation.
23. Deemed
incompetent by the court, sent to OFC, VINITA – Nov 14, 2016.
24. Forced into a Psychiatric Hospital:
* Oklahoma
Forensic Center (OFC), Vinita, OK – Eleven months, until Oct. 26, 2017.
(Changing
RX weekly, family documenting, Jeff getting worse & worse)
25. The magical “7 competency questions” Jeff answers
correctly – Oct. 25, 2017. (still delusional)
26. SENT BACK TO JAIL in Tulsa. MENTAL PODS – segregation again 23 hrs/day.
27. Jeff losing weight, alone, long hair, dirty, cold turkey
DETOX from forced RX. Very delusional.
28. Several Court dates.
Jail orders a new competency evaluation.
29. Jeff spent Christmas in CELL W, alone with his delusions. Jail ignores AIP treatment requests.
30. Chief Public Defender takes over Jeff’s case, early
January 2018.
31. Jeff moved out of jail, to TCBH for psychiatric
“treatment.”
32. Jeff spent his 49th birthday at TCBH last month, not
responding to forced drugging....except for getting worse!
We’ve no idea how long he’ll be at TCBH,
And YES, we are THANKFUL HE IS OUT OF JAIL!!
but the FORCED
DRUGGING IS
NOT WORKING!!!!!
It never worked leading up to his criminalization:

HOPING and PRAYING for CHANGE.
May Jeff’s horrific LIFE be a teaching tool for all entities
charged with caring for him.
